The guest bedroom was also clad in hemlock panels, and included a built-in desk next to the window.
In this room, the wooden planks were in their original condition, but in order to get access to repair some water damage and to re-insulate, we had to take it down and recycle it. This as well as the dressing room were the 2 rooms in the house that had not suffered from years of redecorating and represented the closest to original parts of the house. In hindsight, I think we would have tried to maintain the room in this condition.
